Bronte finally ends her marriage to Harrison with a fiery Dinner Party takedown on MAFS 2023 (2024)

Married at First Sight's most tumultuous couple Harrison and Bronte have called it quits in an angst-ridden battle at the final Dinner Party of the season.

"Everyone just wants this showdown," Bronte declared as the evening began.

After weeks of arguing, and tangling up just about everyone in their drama, the controversial union between Bronte and Harrison finally ended... but not before Bronte delivered a few choice words to her husband in an emotional takedown that left him largely speechless.

During Homestay Week, Bronte's sister gave Harrison an almighty serve, finishing her spray by telling him to get in the bin. Bronte said it was a wakeup call she needed.

Harrison, however, saw things differently.

He described the argument as being "like two hyenas trying to attack a lion. The lion just walks away. He knows who he is."

The pair had decided to walk into the Dinner Party solo once again, but this time Bronte said she was full of confidence and resolved to finishing her marriage once and for all.

"Love isn't guaranteed but I definitely think I'm leaving with more love for myself," she said. "This relationship is done.

"I have too much respect to put myself through this anymore."

Harrison was the first of the pair to arrive and told the group that while he enjoyed Bronte's hometown of Perth, on the last night she attacked him.

"And Bronte's sister just started shouting, 'You're a gaslighting, narcissistic, d---head," he shared.

But Harrison was shocked that Bronte had failed to defend him, or even speak to him afterwards.

Things soured quickly after Bronte arrived at the Dinner Party.

Harrison asked Bronte immediately if they could talk, and when her fellow brides asked if they could speak to her first, he stated, "What's more important? Her husband or her friends?"

Lyndall firmly shut down his request and said, "Just let her have a minute."

Harrison patiently waited the few minutes – precisely. Then walked up to the entire group of girls and once again asked to speak to Bronte, who screwed up her nose and told him bluntly, "I kinda don't really want to right now."

The pair had only just settled at the dinner table before Bronte declared Harrison to be "condescending".

It seemed an argument was imminent, but at that exact moment, the experts arrived and delivered the Honesty Box. Full of questions designed to tackle any lingering issues, the couples looked nervous as they considered the possible responses.

"Everyone just wants this showdown," Bronte said, as she reached for their cards.

"I don't see why it needs to be a showdown," Harrison replied, as everyone grimaced.

Harrison kicked things off by saying his only regret was not cleaning his act up before he entered the experiment, and continued by sharing he felt he had gotten to know the "real" Bronte. He smiled wistfully as he reflected on the times he had spotted glimpses of her "spontaneous" side.

What he didn't appreciate, was Bronte's willingness to speak badly about him and her repeatedly threatening to leave him.

"On Homestays, you and your sister attacked me," he said.

"She held you accountable," Bronte snapped back.

"She called me very, very damaging things," Harrison continued. "True things," Bronte returned.

But when Harrison said she hadn't protected him, Bronte exploded.

"I'd choose my family over you, any day," she shot.

Lyndall interjected that the names Bronte's sister had used were the same he had called Bronte. Harrison took a moment to clarify that he had never called her a "d---head".

"You make me feel like I'm f---ing crazy," Bronte said.

Harrison remained calm as he told his wife he saw a side of her he simply did not "approve of".

"Your behaviour is not becoming of someone I would want to be in a long-term relationship with," he said, in a measured tone.

Bronte had already reached breaking point by the time it came for Harrison to ask the questions. She told her husband she didn't believe he had been genuine or had her best interests at heart.

"I was your little pawn in your game," she said sadly.

"I have never, ever met anybody like you," she said as Harrison answered, "Thank you."

"I mean that in the worst way possible," Bronte clarified.

That comment was the straw that broke her. She rallied within herself as she reminded Harrison she had doubted his honesty from the beginning and found it confusing that he believed everyone else to be the problem.

As she scrambled to answer, Harrison began talking but the group had heard enough.

"It's Bronte's turn," Lyndall said, adding, "You need to just respectfully, chill the f--- out and let her answer these questions."

Bronte didn't need anyone to defend her. "Read the room!" she slammed Harrison. "This is exactly, exactly what you could have done better.

"Hear me, and actually listen, and read the fricken' room."

The group nodded as Harrison dismissed her remarks by asking if she wanted to skip to the next question.

Aghast, Bronte stared at him. Then, she flung her napkin down and announced, "I'm done with this man."

"Harrison, we're done, we're over and I honestly never want to see you again."

With that she walked out on him, and their relationship. For good.
